Lucy and Olivia married at Chelsea Town Hall and had their reception at Somerset House. Whoever said that small weddings can’t be emotional and captivating? This video is packed full of great moments, from the bride’s first look, to the father of the bride’s speeches.
Being the wedding of Lucy and Olivia, this wedding obviously featured no groom prep. True to their bohemian style, the brides did away with getting ready at separate locations. This was a great opportunity to get more shots of the couple together before they had all of their guests demanding their attention. The photographer of the day was the amazing Lee Garland. I honestly can’t get enough of his work, it’s great. Luckily for me, Lee had already scoped out some locations to shoot in down the road by palm leaves.
The ceremony took place at Chelsea Town Hall. After a short taxi ride down, we waited with anticipation for the girls to be called in. Rosie, one of the bride’s nieces kept everyone entertained with her questions of “what dat”. The ceremony was short and sweet but charged with emotion.
The reception took place at the historic Somerset House, on the bank of the River Thames. I thought for sure we’d get a lot of shots in this ideal location. However, we got chased off by security before we could really get settled in. We managed to work around this limitation as you’ll see in the below video.
I hope that you enjoy my wedding film captured in the heart of the City of London:
