From India to London
I had a lot of fun shooting this one. The story goes like this… Nikita and Vaibhav are both from India but met in the UK whilst studying at the University of London.
For their engagement shoot, they wanted to revisit all of their old hang out spots. We filmed in Hyde Park, St Paul’s Cathedral, walked along the South Bank and re-visited the University of London.
Save the Date
The couple said they wanted a video which was as vibrant and exciting as the country they came from. The video was also to be used as a way of announcing their engagement to their family and as a “save the date” video. They were natural in front of the camera and the love they have for each other really shines through. They weren’t afraid to suggest ideas and to just have fun.
More like a Music Video
Having a licence to use a few more interesting transitions and edit more like a music video made this one really fun. I got to use a few more techniques that I would probably steer clear of in a wedding video (apart from maybe the dancing at the end!).
The couple really liked their video and even invited me over to India for the wedding, and not just to film! I guess it’s true that anyone is really welcome at an Indian wedding. I wish I had the time and money to go, as an Indian wedding is something I look forward to adding to my portfolio.
Big shout outs to Kevin from KND Photography who also shot on this one with me.
Anywho, that’s enough waffling from me, you can see the edit I did below!
