Wedding: North London Pub

The Couple

I first met Rebecca and James a few weeks ago, after being contacted fairly late on in regards to shooting their wedding for them. We met in and around Liverpool Street, surrounded by all of the financial institutions, the Lloyds building, the gherkin and the like.  The area we met in didn’t really give me too many clues about what kind of a couple James and Rebecca were. Once the wedding day started however, I soon found out. It was super relaxed and focused on all the right things – without any of the faff. The ceremony was short and sweet and the reception was all about everybody celebrating together with a few (ok lots) of drinks and laughs.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place at Hackney Town Hall. It’s a great one to get married in. There is plenty of room in the main hall to move about in and the steps out the front provide a great backdrop to grab a few group shots.

Reception

Shortly after the ceremony we took a bus journey in an old Route Master to the reception location – The Peasant Pub in Clerkenwell. The pub is only 10 minutes away from my house, so I was super chuffed that I’d be able to walk home at the end of the day. After sampling some of their scotch egg canapés and roast beef dinner, I’ll certainly be re-visiting one weekend soon. It was tastefully decorated upstairs, and the speeches were all very unique, touching and funny at the same time.

This really was a stunning wedding celebrating two people that are clearly perfect for each other, and the amazing outfits, details and the touching words from the speeches make this one of my favourite films to date.
